🚨 BREAKING: Bruce Arians retiring from coaching, moving to
@Buccaneers
' front office, reports me and
@LATimesFarmer
.
Defensive coordinator Todd Bowles picked to replace him. Staff being told the news at this hour.
Full story:
Wildest stat I've seen in awhile:
In 15 NFL seasons, Aaron Rodgers has thrown 84 interceptions
In 5 NFL seasons, Jameis Winston has thrown 88 interceptions
This is incredible...Stephen A. Smith’s 3 players to watch:
1. Spencer Ware (out tonight)
2. Hunter Henry (who has had a great season according to him lmao)
3. Derrick Johnson (not currently in NFL)
*Turns game on*
Booger: “the Jets really have 12 defenders on the field here in the red zone, because the end zone is actually their 12th defender”
*Mutes TV*
People have gone from
Goff worst bust ever
Goff is best QB in '16 class
Goff shouldn't be LAR '19 starter
Wentz is bleh
Wentz is MVP
Bench/trade CW for Foles
Dak is best '16 QB
Dak is the problem
Dak isn't the problem
but sure, we know which 2018 QBs are hits/misses already🙄
Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson were literally all on the same college team. Tapped out everyone and now they're all doing it in the NFL again. What an absurd team that LSU squad was.
I truly don’t know what Mahomes is talking about. Toney is definitely offsides. Yes you never see it called on offense bc every WR is smart enough to check with the official…
Does he want the league not to call obvious penalties if the result of the play is cool? Come on
I get Mahomes is frustrated…
but Toney is clearly offsides & at no point appears to look to the sideline to confirm he is lined up correctly
it’s not even close, just a terrible job by Toney
I propose a 3 team trade:
▪️Rams get Bryce Young
▪️Dolphins get Matthew Stafford
▪️Panthers get Dolphins 2nd & Rams 3rd rounder
It’s really not that crazy.
@TheFacilityFS1
Current NFL Sack Totals for 2011 EDGE/IDL class
Von: 106
Dareus: 37
Aldon Smith: 47.5
JJ Watt: 96
Nick Fairley: 20.5
Robert Quinn: 80.5
Kerrigan: 90
Liuget: 25
Clayborn: 36.5
Phil Taylor: 7
Cam Jordan: 87
Mo Wilkerson: 44.5
Cam Heyward: 54
May never see another like that class
Mike Tomlin really had to manage the personalities of Todd Haley, Ben, Martavis Bryant, Antonio Brown, Le’Veon Bell and James Harrison at the same time lol. Give this man a medal
Jets, man. Did exactly what you should do in the draft. Waited on RB and got a stud in Michael Carter. Are you kidding me with their draft? Whew
QB Zach Wilson
OG Alijah Vera-Tucker
WR Elijah Moore
RB Michael Carter
Can’t believe this epic game ends like that. What garbage. And I didn’t even care who won. I just didn’t want the refs deciding it with ticky tack garbage
I mean, Odell Beckham JUST got traded for a 1st, a 2nd and a starting safety who was a 1st round pick....what is wrong with BOB? How do you do this to your team, man?
Carlton Davis’ tape against Ja’Marr Chase was incredible. Just shows how dominant he could be in a press man heavy scheme (he’s awesome anyway).
Whole tape is littered with plays like this
The streak is OVER.
In the first game without Matt Canada as OC, the Steelers have gone over 400 yards for the first time in 58 games. They never did it under Canada.
Former Bengals’ QB Andy Dalton is signing a one-year deal worth up to $7 million that includes $3 million guaranteed with the Dallas Cowboys, source tells ESPN.
Dalton is returning to Texas.
Deandre Hopkins is 27 and the Cardinals just got him with 3 years left on his contract for 12.5M, 13.5M and 13.9M at the cost of a cooked RB who was eating their cap space and a 2nd rd pick. Maybe the best WR in the NFL.
This can't be real
Ppl acting like Baker’s reasoning here has to be logical. It doesn’t. He feels slighted. If he feels slighted, HIS team feels slighted. And they play like it. Culture changes when Browns players take pride in being a Brown. He’s starting that change. Get on board or get run over
To me, Brady looks like 2019 New England. Still fine physically, still can make all throws. But everything around him is a mess, & he can’t fix it all. So he’s pressing, making bad decisions, not setting his feet so accuracy is suffering. Started off year great, now slipping.
I'll never get over Brady coming to Tampa Bay, putting up crazy numbers without even knowing all the offensive terminology for over half the season, and winning a Super Bowl in his first crack at it here.
Just an absurd career.
No Joe Haden
No Devin Bush
No Vince Williams
No Robert Spillane
No Bud Dupree
Steelers offense better start executing if they wanna have a chance on Sunday night
McVay is a stud - he wasn’t tonight
Goff is a stud - he wasn’t tonight
Gurley is a stud - he wasnt healthy
Cooks is a vg player - he wasn’t tonight
Rams OL was great this season - they weren’t tonight
You’re mentally weak as an analyst if you let one game dictate things
Deshaun Watson was my QB1. I loved him. I’m not going to be revisionist and say he had no concerns on tape. He did. So did Mahomes.
If you’re an NFL GM that needed a QB and you didn’t even TALK to him? You need to be fired.
Bradley Chubb has 12 sacks. 3 games left to get 2.5 more and break Jevon Kearse's rookie record. And NOBODY is talking about it. It's insane lol. He's barely even mentioned in DROY conversations
Chandler Jones is 29. Today he moved into a tie for 41st place on all-time sacks list. He needs 41.5 sacks to move into top 10.
He's had 5 straight seasons of at least 11 sacks and he hasn't missed a game since 2015.
We could be talking about a top 5 pass rusher of all-time
Holiday family conversation settled on these 10 QBs as the best of the decade:
1. Brady
2. Brees
3. Rodgers
4. Peyton
5. Ben
6. Russ
7. Matt Ryan
8. Rivers
9. Stafford
10. Romo
Just Missed: Luck, Eli, Cam, Carson Palmer, prob others we forgot.
Roast us.
This will be an unmitigated disaster. Giving officials MORE freedom to impact games and make complete judgement calls is hilariously bad stuff from the NFL. We already don't recognize this game anymore, and it's about to get much worse.
This means they feel strongly that they can prove he violated terms of his contract that void his guarantees. Pretty strong chance AB never makes a dime for Raiders. No idea why a team would sign him right now, he clearly doesn’t want to play.
My favorite part of the Mic'd Up Super Bowl show:
Mike Evans to Gronk, "I can't believe y'all (Gronk and Brady) came here to do this! Y'all came here to do this!"
Gronk: "Yeah, for you!"
WHEW 🥲🥲
@KevCheli0s
Bold take, Kev, that more people in NFL would know a HOF caliber receiver than me. Really wounded me there, I never realized that. Changes everything
We’ll look back on this
#Bucs
season even decades from now as one of strongest examples in NFL history of a coaching staff completely dismantling a strong culture and running an organization into the ground. Hard to fathom how bad this has been.
An all-time fumbling of the bag.
1) Rudy Gobert with a terrific block of Dame at the rim
2) Decides to box the stanchion in celebration
3) Realizes play is still happening
4) Nurkic AND 1
Low key love what the
#Bills
have done.
Rodger Saffold is an upgrade at OG. Morse at that rate is tremendous. And Tim Settle and DaQuan Jones were two of my favorite IDL available, especially at their price points. Hats off to Brandon Beane
What sucks the most about this Bucs season is that we only got to see 2 games of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown and Gronk on the field together.
In those 2 games, Tom Brady threw for 655 yards and 9 touchdowns. We'll see if we get all 5 together again next season.
I think Vrabel is a good HC and that the Titans could very well regret firing him, BUT people are overlooking some very important aspects of why he was fired that had NOTHING to do with his ability as a HC.
Quick 🧵on that
Mike Evans on Tom Brady, after the loss to the
#Rams
:
“Like I said in the last two years, I am super appreciative that he came to Tampa Bay. Nobody even had a clue he was leaving New England. I am just very privileged to play with him.”
You can believe Kenny Pickett was never going to be the guy and was a bad draft pick (I always have)
AND still believe the Steelers did about as bad a job setting him up to succeed as you can imagine. A disaster class on helping a 1st rd QB selection succeed.
After an offseason spent wondering how Tom Brady, noted hater of the deep ball, would fit into Bruce Arians offense, he went out and completed the most (36) deep balls (20+ air yards) of any QB in the NFL this season lol.
Idk if Deshaun is gonna say anything publicly about this Texans ownership BS, but good luck getting JJ Watt to hold his tongue if these reports are true. That man is fed up, and he ain’t gonna stand for Watson getting mistreated.
Heads might roll. Hell might be raised
Just an unbelievable rep by Ali Marpet, blocking Chris Jones and Frank Clark on this twist. Gets hit for holding when Brady slides to the left and Marpet doesn't know it, but superhuman effort here. Hats off.
