Proud to see my PhD work published in @embojournal! We developed PUFFFIN, a cellular neighbour-labelling system, and demonstrated its effectiveness both in vitro and in vivo. In mESCs, PUFFFIN revealed that cells synchronise exit from naïve pluripotency with their neighbours.
Positive Ultra-bright Fluorescent Fusion For Identifying Neighbours (PUFFFIN) allows visualization and isolation of surrounding cells in culture, tissues, or embryos, for profiling non-cell-autonomous responses @_CellySally_ et al

Wanting to do some neighbour labelling? Why not join an up-and-coming lab for a PhD? Matt trained me when I arrived in Sally's lab, has been a great source of advice throughout my PhD, and is one of the smartest, kindest, and most patient supervisors one could wish for!
Join our lab for an EastBio PhD project focused on establishing synthetic neighbour-labelling technologies in human skin organoids to study skin cell interactions. For more info: #SynBio #EngBio #DevBio #organoids

Not everyone has to do neighbour labelling - the latest work from our lab presents a computational toolkit for characterising cell identities in relation to the neighbourhood across multiple embryos from IF imaging data. Highly recommend the read!

Publishing #PUFFFIN was an incredible journey! The @biorxivpreprint received encouraging feedback, we had a great experience with @ReviewCommons, and the @embojournal editor was responsive and helpful. It's exciting to see how much peer review has improved the manuscript.
