Today, it was an honor to assist escorting the families of MJPD Sgt. Jerry Mundy and WCSO Deputy John Musice on the 20-year anniversary of their death. They made the ultimate sacrifice on I40 in Mt. Juliet while attempting to stop a fugitive fleeing from the Knoxville area.(1/2)

Three of our canines have recently retired. Luke, a yellow Labrador retriever, began serving with LPD in 2014. Luke was trained in narcotics and was assigned to his partner K9 Officer Robert Bates. Jaxx, a German Shepherd, began serving with LPD in 2016. (1/3)

Hats off to the Lebanon Fire Department for rescuing a service worker today when his bucket lift got stuck in the up position. The operator was safely brought to the ground and the vehicle was repaired. The incident took place on the off ramp of I40 at Hartman Drive.
