@kim_gaetz GDP per person has plummeted. And would be worse if they didn't create a trillion in borrowing on real estate. This drives GDP, but it's fake as it has to be paid back. So we are producing less, which means our standard of living will start to decrease drastically.

And, if we had the pipelines that were shut down by the Feds we could actually threaten selling our oil elsewhere. Where was "Team Canada" then. No one cared and were complicit when it crushed AB.

@CADPoliticJunky @brianlilley N. Gateway and Engy East would make Trump's threat useless as we could easily balance surplus by selling O&G elsewhere. But the only way to do that now is to eradicate Alberta's economy. And you cannot just temporarily shut down oilsands then start back up.

@brianlilley "Team Canada" approach is basically Ont saying Albertans should sacrifice more to save their already subsidized manufacturing. So we should lose jobs so they don't have to. Northern Gateway and Energy East would give us options. But we're weekend so would have to shut down O&G.

@DavidColetto Where would they rent if investors weren't building and buying. The government can't do it? We need a better education system if these is the best ideas young people can come up with.
