Thanks to the American Mathematical Society for publishing my work (as a feature article) in the October 2024 edition of its journal, Notices. As an applied mathematician, I started exploring synaptic plasticity (the ability of the connections between neurons to modify with time) over a decade ago, and I’ve been falling deeper for it since then. Synaptic plasticity is the basis of cognition and learning; and mathematical models of synaptic plasticity have served as a bedrock for machine learning and artificial intelligence. I strongly believe that by studying how the brain solves problems, we can learn to build better artificial intelligence algorithms. AND, by improving artificial intelligence algorithms, we’ll discover better models of how the brain works, including models of how the brain processes musical stimuli.

Just because you're struggling to maintain your big house in a village you don't go to does not mean everyone is like you. Let the people who go to their village and can afford a big house build! Everything is not for profit. I would never buy a $100K Rolex or even pay for a first class ticket, but I understand their values.

@gunsnrosesgirl3 It’s just 13. You’re add two numbers of regularly shrinking distance in mod 12, so their sums remain the same. Nothing deep.
