A 7-Eleven Double Gulp of Mountain Dew (50 ounces of soda, or about 1.5 liters) has 192 grams of sugar. It contains 1 cup of sugar, or about 48 sugar cubes.
Some ~personal news~
From the end of the month, I'm going to be the commissioning exec for radio 1.
So if you want to work with radio 1, then email me your ideas pleeease and thankssss

Some covid things from experience:
The Delta variant is super infectious. I managed to give it to my double vaccinated dad, and while fine he's been ill.
So about 6 months ago I approached
@FernBrady
about making a high-end food/ comedy podcast. After one episode of recording she realised that I was full of shit.
"I was worried it was going to be too like Off Menu! But no. No one's ever eaten out of bins before!'
On friday night I was hammered and the barman said 'there's a 50p charge on card payments under £10'
And my drunk self took great delight in shouting 'NO THAT'S ILLEGAL NOW'
And he said 'is it, my mistake' and tbh I think 2018 is awesome already.

If you could ban one genre of picture from instagram, what would it be? Mine would be "Here is a picture of my feet [in business class]. Long flight ahead!😴"
The
@bbc
is recruiting for the production trainee scheme. This scheme changed my life. If you or someone you know wants to apply then I'm v happy to talk about it.
Either 6music is having its biggest day of live listening ever, or it has curated a day of music that resonates specifically with the interest of gay men in their 30s who I follow on twitter. Who is to say which it is?
We met and it wasn't vibes. I made my excuses (went for a dramatic 'housemate locked out').
Left the pub trying to part ways. Turns out we lived virtually next door to one another. Obvs there was no locked out housemate.
saw him every time I ever left the house after that.
I am looking for a fulltime radio producer that lives and breathes Black music to join me at
@SomethinElse
and make the next generation of incredible black music radio for
@1Xtra
.
Casual reminder that being homophobic if you're a driller/ rapper is bad for business. It won't be tolerated by the industry. Because we're everywhere lol.
The worst part of working for the BBC is seeing people on the way in and nodding at them cos you think they're your friends and then you realise at the point you commit that they are only off the telly
Anyway. The show comes out tomorrow with our fav North London Chef, Big Has, and I can honestly say I've never laughed as much as I have making this show.
Go on, give it a go. Follow the show here:
Two bits of news
1. The 'padded cell' aesthetic of my block's lift has been taken down, and there's a mirror there now!
2. I'm on my way to Bangor. 450km to Cardiff. 4 days. 2 legs. 1 sense of foreboding.
Very much appreciated everyone who has messaged today asking if I'm OK.
I'm fine. Furious but fine. Also cracking into the chocolate I bought my dad for Christmas. So very much eating my silver lining.
Huge respect to Stormzy for this. When I was 21 I was terrified I couldn't be 'out' at 1xtra because I thought too many rappers were homophobic.
Things have changed a lot In a short time though.
Hoping we can move the witch hunt on from teenage tweets now...
I said some foul and offensive things whilst tweeting years ago at a time when I was young and proudly ignorant. Very hurtful and discriminative views that I’ve unlearned as I’ve grown up and become a man..
London fears ranked:

I can't think of a record I've heard in recent years that is as much of a nailed on instant classic smash as the new Normani. Everything about it is incredible.
-
@aaronzimbra
moved in. Neither of us dead. Regret to report incredibly in love.
- bought a new Nespresso machine
- learnt a lot about employment law
- kept our queer party alive.
- did a 90° wash to clean the machine
Apparently my tone has been confusing!
I am very much in quarantine for 2 weeks or until I get tested.
If I get bored I might start a blog so you have been warned you better all be fucking entertaining.
Please enjoy this picture of the apocalypse i took at Verona airport
Having 2 'craft' beers on the train home and watching the football... but wanting to let the beautiful man next to me know I'm gay so I'm drinking sparkling water too.

It seems, anecdotally, that 'runny nose' isn't considered a covid symptom. Everyone I know who caught Delta seems to have had this symptom - I found my symptoms indistinguishable from hayfever.
RIP to the club night that spawned the last decade of London's queer scene.
A powerhouse for inclusion and not taking yourself too seriously in the BGWMC days; and then a blueprint for LGBT commercial success.
To everyone who has ever supported, loved and been part of Sink The Pink, we deliver this piece of news with very heavy hearts, but full of pride at what has been achieved. 💖

If there is anything as satisfying as a hot person with loads of insta followers trying desperately to build a twitter following, i have yet to see it.
Happy pride! Solidarity especially with my black friends and colleagues this month. I owe my career to black music and black culture and so I want this month to be about being an ally as much as celebrating queerness.
Tw suicide
An old friend from home took their life the other day. We hadn't seen each other in years. But grief is complicated and I am full of sadness for the life he had left to lead and for his devastated family. Rest easy Sam. You're loved and missed.
Ok so I've been thinking about knickerbocker. Any radio stations want us to do our club night on air instead? Faggy pirate radio, featuring alt pop indie house and bad american accents? We'd need a 7 hour set and a crate of red stripe.
