Realistic physics are so important to making a game immersive. Ray Tracing might be too, but what is all of that graphical fidelity worth when you have basic ass physics in a game? This is why I love rdr2 so much.. it striked a balance.

Interesting that there is no minimap in the 2022 leaks. Maybe that's something they do later in development. I'm curious if they'll go back to the circle minimap of IV or the GPS-like minimap of V. Personally I prefer V because it just makes sense with a game called GTA.

No one talks about it with Rockstar because everything else apart from their missions is peak in the open world genre. Bethesda is great at exploration and environmental storytelling, both stripped out in Starfield and now all people are left with is a very bad game.

In 2011, Skyrim was already outdated but we excused it because its exploration was fun. In 2023, Starfield was far more outdated than Skyrim for its time, and several design choices passed down by Todd Howard himself, like Procedural Generation, completely killed any fun.

If they want to keep RDR and GTA separate tones then it could help by toning down gore. At the same time the leaks showed that they straight up ripped a lot of the realism mechanics out of RDR2 into GTA 6, so who knows. Maybe they are following the RDR2 model.

Rockstar always delivers with Original Score.. the music in RDR2 is fucking superb as well. They have a quality of music that usually you'd only find in film and it's raised the bar for game music as a whole.

Many parts of the epilogue feel underbaked, like the entirety of New Austin. The Epilogue also can drag on after the story reaches such a climax with Arthur. It completely pulls the breaks with the farm missions in a way that's a bit unnatural.

RDR2's immersion definitely won't be outmatched by GTA 6, but I like that because GTA should have a very different tone from RDR. The moment that Rockstar begins to blend their franchises into one tone like Ubisoft is the moment they have failed.

I actually love that the lighting isn't photorealistic. Ik that sounds weird but they perfectly captured the colors of the logo/Vice City with an unrealistic lighting, the oranges and purple hues are so beautiful and set apart GTA 6 from GTA 5 and RDR2 artistically.

Grand Theft Auto VI's second trailer is set to debut on March 12, 2024. According to sources familiar with GTA 6's development, the trailer's runtime will roughly be 2 minutes. It will feature an in-depth look at Jason's character, particularly his past as an undercover cop.

If they're testing something then they're testing it in GTA6's engine, there's no purpose of it being in GTAV unless it's already a complete animation or asset and they've ported it to GTAV, like they've done with some cars from the GTAVI trailer coming to Online in the Chop Shop

The actual logo is far less important to me than how they've implemented it in-game. I've talked about this already, but for example the artistic style of the lighting perfectly encapsulates that logo; if it didn't, the logo would be mismatched from what GTA6 is.

I am tired of the fucking yapping, defending this dog ass game. The story is not good. The exploration is not good. The quests are not good. The gunplay is borderline passable. This game is embarrassing. Get off the Bethesda cock and admit this company is FINISHED.
I know Starfield has issues but I really think it does NOT deserve to be rated this low on Steam right now
Is it outdated in many aspects like load screens, limited exploration and procedural content slop? Yes 100%, but I really think the storylines, quests and general freedom

It feels so much bigger because of the horses and just overall interactivity with the world. I don't want GTA 6 to be like 3 or 4 times the size of 5. Smaller map sizes that feel bigger are always better.
