I’ve had an incredible week with the team at
@ScotNational
as part of a week’s placement at Newsquest Scotland!📰
I’ve gained invaluable newsroom experience while being afforded the responsibility to write pieces for print and digital. Seeing my name in a newspaper was mental!📝
Proud to say I am the first supporter on the new wheelchair viewing platform at Rugby Park.
Words cannot express the difference this will make to the matchday experience for wheelchair users like myself.
A massive thanks to
@KilmarnockFC
and
@KillieTrust

Recently my dad and I had a poor experience in hospitality at
@HampdenPark
. Prior to purchase, my mum was assured that it was fully accessible and that my dad would have an Executive Seat and there would be a space for my wheelchair in that area, but that wasn’t the case.
By all accounts we've signed Aston Villa left-back (yes, LEFT-BACK) Ben Chrisene on loan. He's clearly well liked by Villa having signed a new contract back in January and trained with the first-team in pre-season and has rejected a move to Liverpool.
A real coup for Killie!
They say that you should never meet your heroes. Well, I totally disagree! It was a pleasure chatting to
@billygilmourrr
today as he steps up his preparations ahead of the upcoming
@ScotlandNT
matches. Fingers crossed you can score your first Scotland goal on Wednesday night. 🤞🏻
We’re (potentially) off to Germany! 😁🤞
Thanks to Mum, I've got tickets for Scotland’s Euro 2024 group stage fixtures. How we’ll get there and travel across the country, I don’t know. However, qué será, será. Whatever will be, will be. We’re going to Germany! 🏴🏴🏴

I didn’t want to write this, however, I was left with no choice after my mum emailed twice with no response as well as calling on multiple occasions.
Hospitality is not cheap and it is not acceptable to sell packages which are not accessible whilst claiming that they are.
I am delighted to announce that I am one of
@CofGCollege
’s Journalists of the Year.
I am struggling to put this into words. It was an honour to have been nominated for this award, let alone win.
What a journey it has been so far, and this is just the beginning.
Today marks a year since the wheelchair viewing platform opened at Rugby Park. ♿
The platform has truly revolutionised the matchday experience for Killie fans in wheelchairs. I will always be extremely grateful to
@KilmarnockFC
and
@KillieTrust
for completing the project. 🔵⚪

The images below show where we were told to go instead. There are three main issues:
1. There was nowhere for my dad to sit - he had to ask for a chair.
2. I don’t believe this is a wheelchair area.
3. We were segregated from the other fans who purchased the same package.
It certainly wasn’t cheap, but it’s here and it’s perfect! I’ll be wearing it with pride at tomorrow’s game, that's for sure.
It is without a doubt the best Scotland top we’ve had in my lifetime. 🏴
I’m delighted to say that I am now a member of
@KillieTrust
.
I felt it was the least I could do to thank them for the incredible wheelchair viewing platform which they funded. Their other work is fantastic too!

I am delighted to announce that I have been appointed Sports Editor of
@CityLive_COGC
for this academic session.
I am immensely grateful to have been given this opportunity and cannot wait to get started!⚽✍🏻
Wow, every player was simply outstanding. Lyons, Watson, Deas Ndaba, Dennis, Armstrong, Kennedy, I could go on.
I’m not saying we’ll play as well as that every week, but we’ve laid down a marker. That’s the benchmark in terms of effort.
We are Killie! 🔵⚪️

I’m lost for words, wow!
That was special. We just made the best team in the country look ordinary. Whoever we get in the quarter-final, bring them on! 🔵⚪️
Here’s what Rory had to say last year about the idea of having a testimonial. I don’t know about you, but I’d definitely go to watch it, and I think he deserves it. Let’s get everyone talking about

again after he’s reached 300 appearances!

As great as Killie were on the pitch, the weather was, to say the least, grim. 🌧️
I am very thankful for this poncho, provided by

On Thursday, after
@KilmarnockFC
’s 1-1 draw with
@cercleofficial
, I spoke with
@JonAttenborough
for
@HBSARadio
about his challenge to visit all 42

stadia with his trusty guide dog, Sam. You’ll be able to hear the interview in full tomorrow afternoon on HBSA!🏴⚽️🏟️🦮
I’m not usually one to talk about my disability too much on here, but today is World Cerebral Palsy Day.
I’m one of over 17 million people who have CP across the world.💚

On the way into Rugby Park tonight, I bumped into Scottish sports broadcasting giant
@ramanbhardwajTV
just as he came off-air! This made my inner sports journalist happy! 📝
I got a huge surprise from Mum and Dad for my 18th yesterday: Hospitality at
@HampdenPark
for the Viaplay Cup semi-final against Celtic! I’m still not overly confident about the game, but at least Dad and I will have a good day regardless of the result.
‘Mon the Killie! 🔵⚪️
“A game of two halves” might be an overused cliché, but it’s very fitting for today’s game. Wow! 😮💨
In the first half, we were pretty dire, but after the break, we came out like a totally different team. I’d love to hear Derek’s team talk! 👏
A match I’ll never forget! 🔵⚪️
I was just having a look around the Killie Superstore earlier, only for club legend and Scottish Cup-winning captain
@ray_montgomerie
to walk in! 🤩
@KilmarnockFC
is a club like no other. 🔵⚪️
Despite the result, I had a great day yesterday both in Hirschgarten pre-match and, of course, the Allianz Arena (what a stadium, by the way)! 🏴

I’m immensely proud of my team, both tonight and across our European journey as a whole. We’ve made some money along the way, although maybe not quite as much as we’d have liked, and we tested ourselves against high-quality opposition. 👏
No more Sunday football! 🥳🎙️

I’ll also be posting on the Twitter page below, so be sure to follow

Introducing the Killie Update, a new website all about Kilmarnock FC.
We'll provide a wide range of content including match previews, reviews, interviews and more.
We'll be active here too, so drop us a follow!
We are Killie! 🔵⚪🐿️
Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it!! This season has been nothing short of superb! Everyone has played their part!👏
Together we are stronger, and together, we are Killie! 🔵⚪️
Despite the result, my dad and I had a pretty good day in hospitality! We even had the added pleasure of meeting the man who won the league at Rugby Park after the game! 🔵⚪️
#KillieNation
“Gordon, Johnson… oh this will be interesting, Kilmarnock have scored! Six and a half minutes to go, and Kilmarnock, through Van Tornhout have taken the lead at Hampden and have stunned Celtic, and may well, may well have ended their treble hopes!”
Happy DVT Day! 🔵⚪
Before today’s game, I thought I’d make a quick video answering one of the most common questions I get asked about
@KilmarnockFC
’s wheelchair platform: What’s it like if it rains? ♿️

I’m flying to Munich next week to cheer on Scotland in the opening game of Euro 2024. 🇩🇪🆚🏴
To say that I’m buzzing would be an understatement! 😁
I have an important question: Should I try to vlog my experience as a wheelchair user both at the game and at the airport?♿️
It's getting there,
@KillieKits
! I can't wait for it to finally be complete as it will significantly improve the matchday experience for wheelchair users like myself. Our view won't be obstructed by substitutes or photographers, and we'll feel like we're a part of the stadium.
Thanks for the memories, Blair. You’ll always be remembered at Killie for that moment when you won the league at Rugby Park. That was a special day that I’ll never forget.
Good luck with whatever comes next!
"This is Kilmarnock. This belongs to you." - Steve Clarke.
It has been great to see Killie fans return to games against Glasgow's big two. I used to avoid Rugby Park when we played them when they were in the Moffat Stand, but how times have changed. Supporter safety is key. 👏
Confirmation released from Killie today shows no loss of income from taking a stand away from Glasgow clubs when they visit.
This is because more home fan families now come to those games and the fans, players and local residents also report the benefits of fewer away fans.
🔵⚪️
The new wheelchair viewing platform, funded by
@KillieTrust
is looking excellent! I think some of the glass may already be fitted, so hopefully it’s not too long until we move back to the Moffat Stand. I can’t wait!
What a brilliant game today, a draw was no less than we deserved (what a finish from Ash Taylor by the way!) in the end and it bodes well for the rest of the season. Killie are well and truly back!
A once in a lifetime experience with the flag day too! 🔵⚪️

I am delighted to announce that I have been appointed as Online Coordinator at

This means that I am responsible for anything you see on or on the station’s social media pages on here, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. 💻
I’m immensely proud of Killie’s performance, and on another night, we’d have won that game. 🐿️
Cercle were, to me, quite comparable to Premiership teams, which perhaps suited us. 😉
By the way, Kyle Vassell will have a good season - I can feel it. 💪
It’s all to play for!🔵⚪️
🏴🆚🇩🇪🏟️♿️🧵
From a disabled access point of view, the Allianz Arena was first-class. Everything from the wide, open concourses, the superb and plentiful viewing areas and also the accessible toilets were excellent.
That was huge!
We’ve set the benchmark for the rest of the season. If we can maintain that level of performance, I think we’ll be a Premiership team next season.
I’m absolutely delighted for Kyle Vassell as he scores his first league goal in the stripes.
We are Killie! 🔵⚪️

We were very unlucky not to come away with all three points. We looked well organised throughout, which bodes well for the rest of the season.
Tynecastle, I’ll be back! 🔵⚪️

If you told me at the start of the season that we’d be fourth in the league at Christmas, I’d have laughed at you. 🤩
We were outstanding in the first half but dropped off after the break. ⚽️

Two years ago today, the wheelchair viewing platform opened in the Moffat Stand at Rugby Park, immeasurably improving the matchday experience at
@KilmarnockFC
for supporters in wheelchairs. ♿️
This is thanks in no small part to the
@KillieTrust
, who helped make it happen!💙
Proud to say I am the first supporter on the new wheelchair viewing platform at Rugby Park.
Words cannot express the difference this will make to the matchday experience for wheelchair users like myself.

I had a bit of a Killie Superstore raid yesterday, buying the new away and goalkeeper shirts as well as this superb HMLxKLTD anthem jacket. 🔵⚪️

@LaurieFinlayson
What a result! 🥳
I’m gutted I didn’t see Matty’s goal since I’ve got a radio show to do. However, I didn’t miss any of the action as the
@HBSARadio
commentary team saw me through. 😉
We are Killie! 🔵⚪️
We bounced back in the best possible fashion by getting back to winning ways. 💪
It maybe wasn’t one for the football purists, but we got the job done. Robbie Deas, Innes Cameron and David Watson were immense. 👏
I hope Kyle Vassell isn’t out for too long!🤞
We are Killie!🔵⚪️
This is another great piece of business from the club. Regardless of what division we’re in next season, we’ll have a top-flight defender in the team.
Joe Wright has stood out as being a level above every defender in our squad: No wonder Hearts wanted him.
This afternoon I made the trip to Rugby Park to check out the new Killie Forever Museum. I’d highly recommend that you visit, some fantastic unseen memorabilia on show.
An excellent display from Killie today. We were almost faultless.
Blair Alston, I've doubted you a few times, but since Derek arrived you’ve been a totally different player, and totally commanded the midfield this afternoon.
One step closer, three to go.
#WeAreKillie
A comfortable victory over the Dons is not something I ever thought I’d see.
That was a very solid team performance. I bet some Aberdeen fans would take Marley Watkins and Matty Kennedy back now! 🤣
Let’s keep our winning run going with three points on Wednesday! 🔵⚪️
Back-to-back wins 💪
Strikes from Kyle Vassell and Marley Watkins earn all three points.
An attendance of 5480 today: thanks as always for your support.
It was an absolute pleasure to have
@GrahamSpiers
join me on

earlier today.
We had a good chat about all things football. Thank you to everyone who tuned in, but if you missed it, don’t worry as you can listen now on

That was an excellent all-round performance from us today. We looked sharp and confident and didn’t get dragged into too much of a scrap with Livi, as much as they encouraged us.
It was great to see Kyle Vassell among the goals. Hopefully, he’s found his shooting boots now! 🔵⚪️
This was brilliant!🎤
One thing is for sure: Tequila should be
@CorrieNdaba
's goal theme for when he finally opens his Killie account. 🔵⚪

I am honoured to say that I have contributed to another

Killie fans, this is a must watch!
@The_Sam_North

I love his passion for all things Scottish football!
