Proteins are typically expected to have one biologically relevant fold. Our latest work published in @NatureComms shows that evolution selects for proteins with two folds:

@CterminiPhD Congrats on making it this far. They’re evaluating research productivity and mentorship. Present your work as a cohesive story and mention your publication plans for the projects you present, also who in your lab is doing them. If you write a report, give more detail there.

@FrankNoeBerlin @amelie_iska @DdelAlamo Our paper is not meant to criticize CFold: it's great! It enabled us to do this test I've been wanting to do for years. Fold switchers are hard to predict, and our dataset is fair. Diego is right. CFold predicts the complexed form of RfaH, not its apo monomeric fold.

For anyone interested in hearing about Xingyue’s and my lab’s latest work…
Thread 🧵 Next webinar for October 8th! @iscb/@ELIXIREurope/@iscbsc This time we have two great speakers to talk about how to use AlphaFold to study protein conformational diversity! We will have these speakers to present two very recent papers! [+]

@AlexGuseman I second @ProfessorAntony. I like Infors better than anything else I've used ( incl. innova and eppendorf).

Thank you, @ProteinSociety, for a wonderful meeting. When I normally attend a conference, I’m happy if I deeply engage during 3 talks. Here, it was more like 12.

@MinyiShen And sometimes it overwrites the contacts it detects with structures memorized during training. We'll post more on that soon.
