@RandallIgnacio Not exactly locomotion, but there are measurable metabolic costs and rotational forces when insects are moving their wings to make sound: "Signal diversification in Oecanthus tree crickets is shaped by energetic, morphometric, and acoustic trade‐offs". Maybe relevant, or not!
