Me and my mother the day before my only sister was born. Can you tell we were in a domestic abuse home? We still had hope at this stage,but nothing changed it only got worse. Our story is not heard because were alive but if we died everyone would want to know it! Change the law!

Happy 55 years of marriage to my grandparents for tomorrow, so lucky to have you both as my grandparents. The both of you have been such a massive part of my life and have helped me be the person I am today. My favourite memories have the both of ye in them even tho ye plague each other to death ye can’t live without each other 🤣❤️ So proud to be both of yeres granddaughter ❤️

A question I was asked last week in a podcast that stuck with me was how long are the three of us myself, my mother and sister free from domestic abuse, I had to think of an answer at first because although we are over five and a half years not living with our abuser I answered with a year next month because we went through the family court system for four and a half years with our abuser, an experience I found in one way or another our abuser still was able to control our lives and not let us move on. I hope in the future as either a solicitor myself or a TD that this won’t be the case for future families that will have to go through the system!

Very disheartened and upset to see the comments that are being left under under the death notice of Pádraig Nally. Comments such as "all travellers should be gassed out of it" calling travellers "filth and vermin" "scumbags that roam our countryside etc. Once again Ireland showcases its hatred, abuse, discrimination and non acceptance towards the Traveller community. should have these comments removed immediately as it is spreading violence and hatred against our community. This would not be acceptable or allowed towards any other community but once again it's shown its ok treatment for Travellers.
