Exactly one year ago during Black history month ironically, this same rhetoric was being spewed about the Caribbean influence in the MAINLAND. My pattern recognition won’t allow me to see anything other than a PSYOP‼️
It's weird to hear so much about Caribbean influence in the United States when the Islands weren't occupied by the US until the 20th century. They were known as the Danish West Indies prior to their cession to the US for naval purposes. 🧵
