Do you know all about trochlear dysplasia? Neither do I. On the other hand, I know more than average, and I have now authored a nerdy book on the subject, which also review trochleoplasty surgery. #trochleardysplasia #trochleoplasty

@AliHajJasem1 If you perform surgery that aims to correct the underlying pathology, such as trochlear dysplasia, torsion problems and patella alta, at an early stage, when the cartilage damage is still minimal, then I believe that the development of osteoarthritis can be significantly reduced.

@AliHajJasem1 Yes, TT-TG is just a risk factor and the same applies to trochlear dysplasia, patella alta, increased femoral anteversion etc.

@AliHajJasem1 Studies have found increased TT-TG to be a risk factor for patella instability, however it seems that increased TT-TG to a larger degree is due to either increased tibia torsion or version or a medialized trochlear groove due to trochlear asymmetry and not a lateralized TT.
