Nursery children have explored printing this week and they have enjoyed their visit to the Bingley allotments, where they saw different vegetables like brussel sprouts, onions, and cabbages etc. growing. Children loved planting their sunflower seeds.

Year 5 had a fantastic time during Children’s Mental Health Week with an online session led by Daniel Carol! They explored their feelings, senses, and emotional regulation, finding the session both motivating and informative. #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek #MentalHealthMatters

The children have been making buildings. They thought about what 3D shapes their models need such as cylinder, pyramid and cube.  The children had made Morrison,  a mosque, a gurdwara and a church linking to special places in our community.

As part of our science experiment, we are growing broad beans in Reception.  We created predictions about what might happen and how long it will take to grow. Every day when we are in school, we will observe our broad beans to notice any changes and will be having a competition.

What a day 6I and 6A had... ...identifying historic artefacts, their age and their purpose. ... presenting information artefacts to the class. ... holding objects that are over 2000 years old! .. designing Ancient Greek pottery. A great trip to Leeds City Museum.

Year 4 visited St. Clement's Church and had a fantastic time learning about Holy Week. The children engaged in fun, interactive activities that helped them better understand this important time in the church calendar. #LapagePrimary #Schooltrip #Year4

Yr1 had so much fun on our visit to Salts Mill! We saw David Hockney's artwork on display. We chose our favourite piece and had a go at sketching it. We went on a walk and saw the River Aire which we knew from our geography lessons is a physical feature. #Lapage #Schooltrip #yr1

In our topic lesson, the children worked together to paint Mummy bear, from our sensory story Peace at last, we talked about the colours we need and explored our Artistic skills.

This week the children in Nurture have been making 2D shapes in their maths lesson. They have progressed from recognising, matching & even naming the shapes to making them using lollipop sticks. I am very proud of the children for their positive attitude in their maths lessons!
