Hoping for the day when people truly learn that most US media aren’t agents of democracy, they’re agents of capitalism. Their purpose is to make money. By that standard, interviewing Trump is almost always a success. He draws ratings, eyeball, and reXes. Dangerous but true.

Interesting this year watching typical APSA humble brags (“I can’t believe I have to finish my paper!”) turn into debates about unions, strikes, and ethics. Live your values, people. Ethics are revealed when they hurt.

One realization from visiting DC for the first time in a long time last week: the Mall is huge. None of the January 6th insurrectionists just casually walked from the Ellipse to the Capitol. It's a hike. Breaking into the building just takes it up (several) more levels . .
