Great to be back at #CalverleyOldHall today delivering a busy day of tours including @YorksVernacular and finishing with a cuppa in the community centre. Ripples still spreading from this @HeritageFundUK @HeritageFundNOR funded project.

Lovely that this June 1807 #Lundy indenture is soon to be back on the island, donated by a supporter, now safe in the hands of Derek, island manager. It's a remortgage dating to when Sir Vere Hunt owned Lundy, not long after he purchased Lundy. Look out for it hanging up soon!

Amazing #TixallGatehouse built 1570s. Mary Queen of Scots briefly imprisoned here as her lodgings were ransacked for incriminating evidence. Poor thing, thought she was off for a day's hunting. Now having a major refurb to make top floor a kitchen/sitting room & a GSHP put in.

Today we said 'thank you' to the irrepressible John Evetts, furnishings manager at Landmark for 40+ years, as he hangs up his Landmark boots, We gave him this lovely imagining of #OldCampdenHouse by Ed Kluz. I think he liked it!

Revisiting #AstleyCastle this afternoon for an upcoming talk, completed 2012. Gosh, but we achieved something amazing here. Without @LandmarkTrust's intervention, it would be a pile of rubble now. Who says old & new don't mix?

I went in search of Tudors at the Kunsthistoriches Museum. Here are Jane Seymour & Sir John Chambers Henry VIII's physician, by Holbein in 1543 when he was 73. #themirrorandthelight

What it took to install renewable energy ground source heating at @LandmarkTrust #WorthamManor. Things have moved on a long way since we took this building on in 1969. Few dreamt of electric cars back then (yes, there's an EV charging point there too). So snug & warm now.

Pleasure and privilege to be in conversation with John Evetts at the In & Out Club on Friday to mark his imminent retirement, in front of a great turnout from our most loyal @LandmarkTrust supporters. We've had such fun over the past 24 years of working together.
