Championship Action Comes to The Windy City 🌊🏟️ The 2026 Division 1 Women’s Lacrosse Championship is coming to Chicago! This marks the first time a women’s or men’s championship will be hosted outside the eastern time zone. Games will be played at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium. More info to come.

Chris Collins is WAY classier than I am. I would've gone nuts in the presser - 45 FTs and that awful officiating (his finger grazes the rim = goaltending). 4 losses that are all "once a year" level bad luck. Iowa, PSU - wow. We are due.
Here’s the play that screwed NU! Brooks had a tip in to tie the game! However, the refs called a goaltend that stopped play. They then reviewed the goal tend and called it off. So no goal tend and no Brooks tip in. The worst call of the game! 45 free throws for Penn State

News: SMU quarterback Preston Stone is trending toward a transfer move to Northwestern, per @On3sports. Stone has accumulated 4,030 passing yards, 287 rushing yards and 41 total touchdowns in his collegiate career. He posted an AAC best 161.3 passer rating in 2023.

ICYW - The last 'Cat to average 20 ppg in a season? John Shurna in 2012 when he was 1st team All-B1G and 2nd team All-American. Averaged exactly 20.0 ppg and led B1G in scoring. Nick is currently 3rd in B1G and 19th nationally at 20.8 ppg.
Northwestern's Nick Martinelli led the Big Ten in scoring this week averaging 23.0 points per game. He posted 27 points against No. 19 Illinois, becoming just the third Big Ten player this season to score 27 or more points against an AP Top 20 team.
