Super proud of our 4 master rowers that competed at the Southwest Regionals this past weekend in Chula Vista. We came away with 1 Gold and 6 Silver medals plus each rower had Personal Best times in their singles races

Ella Gusick, Coronado HS ’24, captures 4th place in the U19 1x event at the USRowing Southwest Regionals to secure her 3rd trip to USRowing Youth National Championships in June

LLVRC Girl’s 1x Ella Gusick wins a Silver medal at the Long Beach Invitational in a very close race with 1st and 3rd. (Redwood 5:57.4, Ella 6:01.6 and Newport 6:02.0). The Girls 4x wins the B Final in a strong race and Bella Jerez places 3rd in the 1x C Final. A good weekend.

The LLVRC Girls 2x’s raced in the finals this afternoon. Ella and Bella had a great race and won the B final easily (8 sec) and would have placed 5th (or better) in the A final. Nicole and Clara raced in the C Final and had a much better race and was 5th.Tomorrow the 4x and 1x’s!

LLVRC girls 2x racing in the heats this morning at Long Beach. Ella and Bella were leading and had an equipment issue so will be racing in the B final at 2:17. Nicole and Clara had a poor start but still had a decent time to qualify for the C final and 2:24. Good luck girls!

The regatta is unfortunately cancelled as the winds are continuing. We thank all the teams for coming, the volunteers for all their loyalty and the referees for their patience and guidance. We will all be back for a calm 2025!

Wind is bad today. Regatta on hold till 7 am meeting of coaches

There is no shuttle. All spectators may follow lake Las Vegas parkway to the end and follow the signs. And watch from the dam.

The coaches will make a decision at 5 am if we can race from 6-8 am before the conditions worsen. If we race the racing may not be on the buoyed course so will not be viewable for spectators. I will update this again in the early morning.

Spectators are welcome to park in the LLV Hilton Garage in the LLV Village and take a shuttle ($10 pre round trip) to the finish line area. No other areas on the lake will be allowed to have spectators. Keep checking here for updates, as the weather could change the schedule.

The 7th Annual Lake Las Vegas Collegiate invitational regatta will be held this Saturday and Sunday. Raintree Investment is our title sponsor and we thank them very much for their continued support.

Ella defended her Head of the American junior women’s 1x title in a close race. She won by 4 seconds in 22:24.4. Conditions were tough with lot of wind but she pushed super hard at the end to pull away!

A very successful 2023 SW Masters Regionals! 6 rowers, 9 events, 7 medals. Congrats to all! Now back to beautiful Lake Las Vegas for more training and recruiting.

Father/Daughter Todd and Carlyn win a bronze in the Mixed B 2x. Carlyn rows for UNLV and Todd is a UNLV Asst. Coach! Well done!

Super proud of our group today. 4 races 4 medals! We learned a lot and experienced many parts of racing including other crews false starting, debris in our lane and crazy gusty wind.

Congrats to Barb for winning a Silver medal, and Chris for a Bronze medal!!! Two for two. Next Michelle in the Novice B 1x and then Barb and Michelle in the D 2x.
