@takanashikiara Every Doom iteration is unique. Classic Dooms are simple, but very fast paced. No air mobility. Doom 3 focuses on survival horror. Slower paced. Doom 2016 brings the basis for moden Doom games and adds more verticality. Eternal takes that and makes it even more vertical.

@sammool2 @ShitpostRock It's more like. Not necessarily open world. But it does have huge areas. And there's more than one way to approach objectives plus exploration to gather resources you will need depending in how you do things, so it's not linear either.

@nukinuts @ShitpostRock I don't see the "simon says" part. If anything it looks like there's more freedom than in Doom Eternal (which still gives you freedom if you're good enough to survive your choices)

I know Doom 3 has been said to be the "black sheep" but nowadays with what the new Dooms are doing I feel like it's closer to classic Doom than other games. All good games, though.
