MEMORIAL DAY GROUND RULES! Here's some ground rules for this Memorial Day Weekend: 1. Don't wish a Veteran Happy Memorial day - there isn’t anything happy about brave men and women dying. 2. Its not a holiday or a sale, its a day of remembrance. 3. You want to know the true meaning, visit your local Military Cemetery where people killed in battle or who died as the result of service-connected injuries are buried, or a VA Hospital. 4. Say a prayer, then raise a glass. If you're so inclined, pour some out. Last but never least, thank God for the men/women who are no longer here. PS: do NOT "Thank" a living Veteran for his/her service... They will get honored on Veterans Day in November!! This is time to remember that the true price of freedom is spent in the lives that defend it. Honor the brothers and sisters that have given the last full measure to secure our freedoms. #MemorialDay #AirForce #Army #CoastGuard #Marines #Navy

This is a Gold Star father hugging his son’s gravestone. Understand what this father is going through. Not just on Memorial Day but every day. After seeing so many on the newsfeed saying Happy Memorial Day this needs to be seen. It is not a happy day for any Gold Star family.
