@leighbeadon @PetreRaleigh Insert shots like that are the most common, but I've also seen someone trying to pan the camera over a principal's office. Sometimes a voice will "ring out" of the darkness when a character has to enter a scene. More often than not a scene will start with an establishing shot.

I tried to read this. It's not very good. The storytelling is bad and obvious and it feels more like a children's book with pictures than a normal manga that can live with subtext and ambiguities and that can afford to not have things pay off 2 seconds after being set up.
