We have really been enjoying National Story Telling week this week at Belmont. All year groups have had parents and carers volunteer as 'secret readers' and we have been doing lots of reading together in groups. #NationalStorytellingWeek

Our Eco Committee have made some time this week to do some litter picking around the front of our school and in all of the bushes surrounding our perimeter. They were amazed with how much they found and think it could be because of the high winds we have had recently!

Some of our Year 5's had their first netball game against Upland Primary this week. It was a strong performance by our team - well done! ⭐️

Our girls football team are edging closer to the girls league semi finals for the first time ever with 3 wins this week! Well done girls! ⭐️

In line with our Year 4 topic, Christopher Wren, we took Year 4 to St Paul’s Cathedral. They had a 90 minute tour of the cathedral, along with a ‘Discover St Paul’s’ workshop. They also climbed up the dome to the Golden Gallery, to view the entire London skyline! How exciting!

A brilliant afternoon yesterday at the Just4Fun Dodgeball event. Our year 5's did extremely well and even walked away with the teamwork award for their brilliant teamwork skills! Well done everyone! ⭐️

Some of our children took part in a primary Panathlon. This inclusive competition involved fun games and activities based around the adapted sports such as Boccia, New Age Kurling, Table Cricket, & Polybat. Our children loved it and did really well! Well done to all involved!

Our Nursery have introduced a new topic in our curriculum ‘People who help us’. This theme will help children explore and understand the important roles played by community helpers in our daily lives, such as doctors, firefighters, police officers and more.
