THE TRUTH ABOUT THE CFPB: Since the oppo media are LYING about what the Consumer "Protection" Financial Bureau actually did, allow me to enlighten you. I had PERSONAL experience. Post 2009, and the "too big to fail" banking bailout, the Obama administration came to completely control US banking, and the CFPB was the enforcement arm, used to force banks to do Obama's bidding. The CFPB was de-banking whole industries, before de-banking was even cool. The Obama crowd did not like SUB-PRIME lending, for one example, what they called "red-lining" in mortgage lending, payday loans, title loans, check cashing, buy here pay here car companies, and other instruments serving consumers that BIG BANKS wouldn't touch. These customers had NOWHERE TO GO, until these businesses began to fill the void. There was a void to fill. A market that was being ignored, so they filled it. A few players survived, but it's nowhere near as competitive as it was before the CFPB started "protecting" these consumers. The CFPB would strong-arm major banks to get out of lending to these industries. This reduced competition, significantly, and rates have actually gone up, for these consumers. It didn't do any good at all to distort the market in this manner. The CFPB has damaged banking in so many ways with heavy-handed AGENDA-BASED interference in the financial markets. It's how DEI proliferated throughout corporate America. As usual, the people who were harmed are precisely the ones Democrats have professed to "protect". It's also why BANK OF AMERICA chose to become a government-private (evil) partnership. Very lucrative for those who would do the government's bidding, at the expense of consumers. Scott Bessent understands this, and has pretty much suspended the harmful activities. It will take Congress to completely shutter this market-distorting, anti-free market albatross which has been tightening its grip around the private-sector's neck, for far too long, but it's been defanged. For now.

Natural gas, a significant component of the price of nearly EVERYTHING you buy, dropped 11% after Trump was elected, and another 13% since inauguration day. President Trump's war on high-priced energy, and by extension, overall inflation, is off to a very good start.

Just a cursory look at power-grid sourcing begs the question: What's the difference between a battery-electric vehicle having an on-board generator, and plugging your car into the wall?

Elon Musk, you should make a Tesla Hybrid. In the new, deregulated automobile environment, HYBRIDS are going to be the winner. There's no reason an electric vehicle shouldn't have an onboard generator. CO2 is innocent, and you should know this. So, no reason. @elonmusk .

Business owners know that it's damn-near impossible to reduce expenses WHILE increasing revenues. Trump and Musk have business sensibilities. Musk is reducing expenses and Trump is in charge of increasing revenues. What a team. It's just bidness.

Mazda didn't manufacture vehicles in the US until 2021, with other Japanese companies being here for decades. Mazda sales were up 16.8% in 2024, over 2023. Look for Mazda to expand US production, significantly. They don't like unions, so right-to-work states will be preferred.

DIRECT FOREIGN INVESTMENT, WHAT IT DO? Upwards of $3 trillion in Direct Foreign Investment has already been committed to the Trump Golden Age, and the inflow of capital due to TARIFFS hasn't even kicked in yet. DFI tends to boost the construction industry immediately, and the resulting increased demand for labor ups worker wages, in permanent fashion. DFI is a free lunch for the American worker, a gift that keeps on giving, not to mention the increase in supply of domestically-produced goods and services, putting downward pressure on inflation, while REDUCING imports. Out-parcel, peripheral small businesses crop up, providing opportunity for established domestic suppliers, and budding enterprising entrepreneurs. Win, win, win. The Trump Golden Age begins.

ELON: DEI IS RACISM REBRANDED “If by wokeism one means racism on the basis of sex and gender and other matters, and if DEI is simply racism rebranded, then yes, I'm against racism and sexism no matter who it's directed against.  It is entirely possible to be racist against white people, black people or Asians or anyone else.  And we should really accept no racism or sexism in any form, no matter what it's called.  DEI and wokeism essentially advocating racism and sexism.  That is wrong.  They're also anti-meritocratic.  So, we should really, in my view, have a meritocratic society where people succeed as a function of their abilities and how, hard they work.  That should be the only way that people succeed.  Not through some arbitrary measures that are discriminatory.  So, we need a meritocratic society, and we need freedom of speech.  Freedom of speech is only relevant if people you don't like are allowed to say things you don't like. It can't be that the government is deciding what is or is not misinformation or disinformation because then you get politics applying to those labels, and in fact you simply get the suppression of freedom of speech.  So, really, I think wokeism is evil because it is racist, sexist, and anti-free speech.” Source: WELT Economic Summit, January 28, 2025
