J.J. Toczek has been chosen as the next director of athletics and activities for Lincoln Public Schools. He’ll take over for Kathi Wieskamp, who is retiring after 33 years with LPS and after serving in her current position for nine years.

The 9/11 Tribute Museum in New York City chose a lesson designed by Mike Hix and Cody Thatcher as one of the winners of its annual event. The lesson takes a look at the events of 9/11. Mr. Hix and Mr. Thatcher received an award, and Schoo received a check for $500.

, has been named one of two students from Nebraska as a delegate to the 60th annual United States Senate Youth Program. Saleh is one of only 104 students from across the country to be chosen.
