Why Subaru is JUST as bad as Rudeus:. Emilia was around 7-8 when she first froze herself, trapped in ice for 100 years with her physical aging being slower. This makes her 114 when she comes out the ice physically, and MENTALLY 14 including when she was raised by Puck.

@JanchoYT I don’t think Re:Zero’s worldbuilding is particularly spectacular (it’s improved since Arc 7). On the other hand, Mushoku Tensei is easily in my top 3 for worldbuilding. Its world is vast, richly detailed, and deeply fleshed out, with far more intricate lore and cultural nuances.

@Zarfa57 @totithoth A problem with Mushoku Tensei is that, unlike Griffith in Berserk, whose actions are clearly depicted as evil, Rudeus’s YIKES behavior is often downplayed or lightly punished, which leads the viewers into thinking it’s “okay.” (haven’t read berserk but this is what I’ve heard).

@Dareal_tyrant No, Rudeus is clearly portrayed as a character the author intends for the audience to like. Mushoku Tensei is written in a way that encourages readers to sympathize with him. The worst part of him “being a pedo” is barely addressed and even portrayed to be okay by the author.
