Folks, the pilot is listed as 'DUSTWUN' (Duty Status-Whereabouts Unknown; they haven't found the body), and that means that the DoD isn't obligated to release the name of the Soldier. Because of that status, the family absolutely can request that the name be withheld until they change status (find the body and report her as deceased). Once the duty status changes (upon finding the body or halting search) the name will be released. I had a conversation a few moments ago with @StolenValor1 on the phone, he's spoken with the family, and it's not some conspiracy. They're just holding out time before the public is involved, and given the duty status of the pilot, it's in their right. The DoD has a responsibility to release the name, and they will, once the duty status change warrants it. Only 1 of the crew members has been found from PAT25, the family of the other crewmember that hasn't been found yet was ok with a name release 'early'.
