#Sammalkorpi received her doctorate from Helsinki University of Technology in 2004. After her defence, she has worked at the Universities of Princeton, Yale and Aalto. Now she is one of the LIBER PIs and works as a professor of soft materials modelling at Aalto University.

LIBER symposium 2024 was absolutely wonderful with scientific and social interactions among our community and the speakers. We had 9 invited speakers, 170 participants from 13 groups, and 60 poster presenters. Spark of new ideas for research and collaborations were generated.
