Los Gatos High School is thrilled to announce that pending school board approval Mike Minkel will be the next Baseball coach for the Wildcats. Mike has been coaching baseball since 2007. Coach Minkel has also been teaching Special Education at Los Gatos HS for the past 4 years.

Los Gatos High School field hockey coach Henry Reyes got his 501st win tonight in the CCS championship. In his 32nd year with the Wildcats, his record is 501 wins, 65 losses, 34 ties. His teams have won 15 outright CCS titles and shared two others.

On December 9th members of our girl’s water polo program conducted a beach cleanup at Twin Lakes in Santa Cruz. The girls managed to collect 6 large bags of trash and in the process gave back to the community keeping our beaches clean a free of harmful trash to local wildlife.

LGHS senior, Sophie Takecuhi made the University of Arizona competition cheer team this past weekend! Sophie cheered all four years of high school and served as a Varsity captain for the 22-23 season. Sophie maintains a 3.8 GPA while also taking various AP classes!
