A group of UK MPs, members of Labour Friends of Kosovo and the Western Balkans, visited Kosovo this week to reiterate the UK’s support for the country’s territorial integrity, security and human rights. The Ministry of Defence is exploring potential defence exports to Kosovo, highlighting possible benefits for both Kosovan security and the UK defence industry.

We welcome the appointment of Dame @KarenPierceUK to the position of Special Envoy to the Western Balkans, following Lord Peach's successful time in this role. Dame Karen is one of the most experienced diplomats that the UK has, having been British Ambassador to the US until recently. She also has a fantastic relationship to the new US President's team. Through this appointment, this Labour government is demonstrating the importance of the Western Balkans and Europe to its foreign policy strategy. @UKLabour
