@klf3681 That doesn’t mean he’s automatically the captain of the team. He clearly doesn’t want that responsibility with any team he’s been a part of. That’s fine, he just does his job and stays out of trouble. He’s not going to answer for the team’s shortcomings if there are some.

I’ve always believed in rewarding and making clear who the leader is in any situation. Lindor gets on the stage and does just that so others do not. I was his biggest critic up until last year because he acted like a child to that point. He was just as much as part of the locker room turmoil as anyone else was. He grew up and took responsibility for his shortcomings and the teams. To say the patch is meaningless is like saying the whole OMG and good time it created for fans is meaningless too.

@klf3681 Soto isn’t the best player on the team. Soto is only great at one thing and that’s hitting. He’s average at every other facet of the game. Overall, Lindor is still the most valuable overall and best player on the team.

As long as he has a great spring he will be up after the all-star break. This is a case where he needs the half season in AAA because he didn’t immediately adjust in his limited time there. His stuff is excellent, but working on situational pitching is what he needs with an experienced catcher. That shouldn’t take long. It definitely helps with service time control also, but this isn’t a circumstance of the Mets trying to manipulate that.

@SKB1195131 @wrestlingsdeity I’m not sure how over LA Knight will be long term. I’ve always seen him as a lesser version of MJF. MJF by far is the best in the business on the mic and really plays the heel role like no one else. He even makes CM Punk look like an amateur.
