Great arrest today at Venice Beach! LAPD Pacific Patrol Officers arrested one Assault with a Deadly Weapon suspect armed with this firearm in the suspect’s possession. The 50-round drum magazine was fully loaded.
This little man wanted to ride the roller coaster, but not by himself. Since his mother couldn’t ride & his father is a deployed service member, Ofcr Pinell, an experienced father took the little man under his wing.

Over the weekend LAPD Pacific Officers arrested (again) three wanted persons in the Mar Vista area, they had a substantial quantity of methamphetamine packaged for sales, a sawed-off shotgun, two replica handguns and three stolen vehicles. A total of 14 arrests this weekend.
Today, our officers conducted an investigation at the homeless encampment @ Inglewood/90 fwy. They identified: 1 stolen moped, 1 stolen motorcycle and 1 stolen bicycle. A person was arrested for Receiving Stolen Property.

LAPD, assisted by a Fish and Game Warden and a clean up crew, had a successful task force yesterday at the Ballona Creek Wetlands. We had 9 arrests and recovered a truck load of stolen bicycles and other property. Several items were returned to their owners immediately after.

Last week, Pacific Narcotics Dets served a search warrant on the 4000 block of Glencoe Ave. Two suspects were arrested for illegal trafficking of cannabis. Several hundred pounds of cannabis and over 2 million dollars in cash were recovered.
A terrible accident at Mar Vista Gardens left a family without much to celebrate during the holidays.

The health care workers at Cedars-Sinai Marina Del Rey hospital have been on the front line of the COVID-19 fight and have had a large share of cases for the small size of the hospital. Today, we took a little time to thank them.
On 03/30/21 Pacific Officers on routine patrol, conducted a stop for a traffic violation in the area of Pacific Ave/17th Ave.
They discovered a loaded 9mm pistol concealed in the waistband of the passenger.
We remain committed in our efforts to thwarting gun violence.
Please stay away from the area of Venice Bl and Hughes Ave near Culver City, we have a crime scene established and it will impact vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
We pay tribute to Officer Brian Brown, who was killed in a gunfight on Nov 29, 1998. He was a Marine veteran and a brave LAPD officer for four years. He left behind a young son. Rest in peace.

After handling a service call at a Playa Del Rey senior living home the other night, Officers Silva and Kong took a moment to say hello to retired officer Robert Neece. Bob, now 94, had just arrived for rehab due to a broken hip just days before.
Last week, at 4am, our officers found 2 suspects cutting a catalytic converter near Sepulveda & Venice Bl. They arrested 2 for Att Grand Theft & narcotics.

With the price of precious metals skyrocketing, thieves are helping themselves to catalytic converters that contain enough platinum, palladium or rhodium to make it worth the risk to cut it from the underbelly of your vehicle.
