Sharing a bit of good news in an otherwise shockingly awful year. After more procedures than I can remember and more money than I want to think about, finally, finally Casper has a sibling on the way.
4 months too late and I’m still angry at the useless UK government for such a bloody farce with travel but we made it home and my mum got to meet her grandson ☺️☺️
Very rough day today. My son had surgery on his herniated belly button and leaving him unconscious in the operating theatre was pretty much the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Massive thanks to everyone at
@KCH_UAE
who looked after him so well today.
Two arseholes parked way, way too close to my car on both sides in MOE today. Nothing I could with a 6 mth pregnancy bump. An incredibly kind man can to my aid and managed to somehow squeeze himself in and reverse the car out bless him. What a gent.
In case you’re wondering what level of ‘Dubai’ I’m at, husband has automated our garage doors so now I don’t have to leave the sofa when the
@MyCafu
man arrives.
My son’s school has just confirmed KHDA have approved their plan to have all children back to school full time and honestly, I want to dance naked in the street I’m so relieved. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Today was pretty hardcore tbh. I’d forgotten what travelling with a baby is like - add in the covid complications and nearly not making our connecting flight in Athens and it was just 🤯🤯🤯. Anyway, finally made it!
@heeelize
But very unfair on those who don’t want to listen to your music don’t you think? I wouldn’t want to. And then not only are you inflicting your music on people, when someone dares to ask you to turn it off you retaliate by making things worse for everyone. How nice.
Had an absolute blast yesterday!! So lucky to have such wonderful family & friends. Also, thanks so much Twitter friends, really appreciated all the birthday love 😍🥂
Never fails to amaze me how many parents in Dubai take their nannies to kids birthday parties. Can you really not even be arsed to look after your own child for two hours at the weekend?
Dear
@KHDA
, please, please, please, for the love of everything in this world, please open the schools in September. I can’t do anymore of this. On behalf of all parents in the UAE, we are losing our minds.
#openuaeschools
Absolutely delighted that so many people don’t want to come to Dubai. We’re so full at the moment I don’t know how we can fit anymore in. Some of the comments are just wild.
I randomly had a 10-hour layover in Dubai once & took a tour & it was one of the creepiest, most unsettling places I've ever been. Like the scene in the apocalypse movie just before the apocalypse. Pre-post-apocalyptic. This video captures the vibe well.
Happy UAE National Day! This boy loves Dubai, will tell anyone who asks that he comes from the UAE and loves to spot the flag when we’re out and about 🇦🇪.
Someone in Marina Mall is wearing a crochet, completely see through outfit, with only u/w underneath 😳😳 I find it offensive, let alone anyone with more traditional views. Security now throwing her out.
Jesus. So I complained about the bank on twitter because they are useless and then sales guy has just called my husband to ask why I complained!!!! 🤯🤯🤯
Feel like this is a half decent effort for our first try with our own dough! Massive thanks to
@danielmarcevans
for the help, advice, support and hectoring prior to this which forced me to do it 😂😂. Am now a convert to making my own!
Cannot believe the amount of chat & newsprint that’s been devoted to this emergency alert in the UK. The first ones in the UAE were a bit startling but we didn’t bang on about them for ever. Just crack on UK, you’ve got bigger issues.
Weirdly I’ve had the most amazing start to my 40th in semi lockdown. Husband has made an amazing effort and my best friend has put together the most incredible video of msges from everyone who can’t be here. Crying buckets!
Had a really great couple of days at
@JumeirahZS
. The service was really good which I honestly don’t say about many Dubai hotels. It’s an incredibly well run hotel and they’re doing super well with the safety aspects.
I don’t think I have ever been so disgusted with a human being before. How is asking for a ceasefire a ‘hate March’? You are vile Suella, absolutely vile.
I agree with the Prime Minister. It is entirely unacceptable to desecrate Armistice Day with a hate march through London.
If it goes ahead there is an obvious risk of serious public disorder, violence and damage as well as giving offence to millions of decent British people. 1/2
Never thought I’d see the day that I’d be eating lunch outside in Dubai in August 😳😳. Weirdly it’s not that bad with the breeze from the sea and sitting in wet swimmers
Husband has once again forgotten to buy me an Easter egg. I knew he would so I bought my own 2 weeks ago. Going to wait until late Saturday night to ask if he’s remembered.
Waking up to all the earthquake tweets but wondering how the hell everyone was awake in the middle of the night to feel them?? You young kids with your late night hangouts 😂
Guys, here’s an idea. How about we all stop blaming each other for the new curfew and understand that this is absolutely crap for everyone. Let’s cut each other some slack today shall we?
I think the point people need to remember is that no one is forcing you to go out. So if you’re still worried and think this is too soon to ease restrictions just stay home as before. Me personally, I’m over the moon I can go outside again.
Brilliant weekend at Hilton Ras Al Khaimah. Thanks an absolute million to
@Kingofardagh
for making it so special 🥰. Happy coincidence that we bumped into
@janethejourno
and
@PDClifford
as well!
A week today I’ll be on a plane. I’ve missed travelling so very much, I just can’t wait to see somewhere other than Dubai. Even though travelling with a baby is a pain I’m still mega excited 😊
