Tonight, I got to hear my moms staff tell her how much her leadership has meant in their lives. Over 90 teachers & staff members came. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I am so grateful for this moment & for the legacy my mom is leaving in all of these educators.

Tonight I got to hang out with 4 kids in the library after their reading tutorials and just listen to them read. It was so nice outside so we even decided to read outside. It made my whole day. Striker kids are the very best around. What a gift to know them ❤️

We celebrated Mrs. Silvas with sunflowers and messages of care today! We have the best school counselor. We will be celebrating her all week long at Mendez.

Mrs. Kruzel’s classes met together this morning to zoom a classroom in Uganda. Students talked about what they had in common and talked about differences in their clubes based on where they live. What an incredible opportunity for our Strikers this morning!

We forgot to post and celebrate Mrs. Guevara, our focus teacher, as teacher of the month! Mrs. Guevara is patient, caring, and gives 100 percent to kids every single day. She is a leader on our campus and we are so very thankful for her! Congratulations!!’

Big shout out to @lolo_guess for writing and getting a grant for our students to start doing video announcements at Mendez. I am always so thankful for her leadership in looking at the whole entire campus and how to keep making it the best place for kids! Thank you Lauren!
