I agree, Pete. And I think it’s the best chance for citizens to be able to think for themselves. It’s time for journalists to stop pretending to be unbiased if they actually are and lean into paving their own way and rallying support for their platforms.
@KristenKeogh IMHO Traditional media journalism is dead. Citizens with cameras, long-form interviews/podcasts and non-profit, publicly funded journalism is the way.

As someone who spent my entire journalism career refusing to have a political allegiance for the sake of journalistic integrity, it is absolutely wild to see how openly these folks on TV spew their opinions. I know it’s not new but it will never feel right to me.
