@Standup__Man @giants_old @jollycarew The problem is there's no "rec" clubs for wrestling where I live. The only option is to join a club - the cost of that is significantly more than any other sports rec cost.

@ScottBarrRCNTV Yeah wrestling at a rec level nation-wide probably doesn't compare to your experience in the Lehigh Valley.

@ThatIsFalse01 @Standup__Man @jollycarew Sounds great if you live in Minnesota! It’s probably similar in other hot bed states like PA, Ohio, etc. But, that’s not the case in the majority of the country. And I’m not talking about being elite. For wrestling to “grow” way more people need to be introduced to it younger.

I say we get these guys for next years halftime show…

@Standup__Man @jollycarew I'm sure location matters but most of the clubs in my area are $125-$150/month. Then there's the added cost of entering tournaments.

@EricAsselin74 That’s kind of my point though…we need to learn from the most popular sports if we want to make wrestling more popular

@jollycarew Cost, proximity to clubs and tournaments, time commitment for new participants. From my experience, those are all significantly higher in wrestling compared to popular American sports

@EricAsselin74 Also, I have 4 daughters so I’m looking at it from that perspective. My 7 year old started wrestling this year and there are 3-4 girls in her age group compared to like 15-20 boys. Girls wrestling might be growing but it has a long way to go imo

Faith Christian wrestled great from the start getting bonus in key places and avoiding giving up too many points when they were underdogs. Incredible dual between the two best teams in the country
