My kind of elitist does not grade on a curve and is willing to flunk the whole class.
I'm looking for honest minds, not "open minds". No peace with communists.
I am a Declaration American:
To me, America consists mainly in the idea of individual liberty and found its most compelling political expression in the Declaration of Independence.
The Constitution was a counter-Revolutionary act, and Lysander Spooner was right.
That is not the quote. This is the quote, from "The Story of Civilization", vol. II, "Caesar and Christ" (1944), p. 665.
Someone should tell Elon to follow me.

There is always an element of the left that obstinately refuses to learn this.
The essence of this fact is this: in the era in which truth is dismissed from epistemology, the whole combat-front of democracy is reduced to twelve people in a single room.
Imagine that.

"Your punishment for having a knife when they searched you would be very different from the thief’s. For him to have a knife was mere misbehavior, tradition, he didn’t know any better. But for you to have one was ‘terrorism.’”

It's the "Patriot" Act all over again.
When are people going to learn to learn before the lessons become intolerably expensive across whole generations of Americans?
The RESTRICT Act is not limited to just TikTok. It gives the government authority over all forms of communication domestic or abroad and grants powers to “enforce any mitigation measure to address any risk” to national security now and in any “potential future transaction”

In 1989, I took a 30% cut in pay to tour America with the first repertory company from the Bolshoi Ballet to come here, just so I could do it.
You had to see that. Those people were in non-stop mall-mode for about six weeks. They couldn't believe what they were seeing.

Alejandro Mayorkas must be adjudicated, convicted, and have sentence upon him executed under federal death penalty statutes.

Man, I just adore the conceptual acuity and emotional continence of some of America's best & brightest -- lawyers:
"Being known as the founder of an organization does not entitle that person to run amok and put his own interests ahead of that organization."
One aspect of this that can tend to obscure the issue is that most people still haven't located communism in history. They think it began in 1917 and ended in 1991. (Curse Fukuyama!)
It's a post-monarchical idea (after 1789) and was never restricted to "communist countries".
I think
@philthatremains
is right about this.
Start with the premise of a "show trial". Its central purpose is the demonstration -- not the acquisition -- of power. Manifestly in this matter, the communists are flexing the power already in their possession. That's the point.
Anyone who has never driven across America is missing one of the great adventures still left to ordinary people, and an opportunity to grasp an essential essence of this country.
Don't fail yourself: try to find a way to do it.
Nearly half of the number of stores have closed in San Francisco and many more are leaving. Officials are now scrambling to pass new laws to prevent businesses from closing.

Nobody will *ever* vote their way out of this.
Can you understand? Try to understand. These arsonists in the congress are enslaving you to a trillion dollars every three months. That rate scaled against your opportunities in electoral politics now is economic high-explosive.
The worst of it all is that the social conditions that communists posit as causal were all manufactured by government. These are the wages of Lyndon Johnson's "Great Society".

Before you were out of high school, I was saying that "all politics in this country now is just rehearsal for civil war". Bill Clinton took it seriously enough to misquote me.
You should ask me what I knew, when, and how.
"This is America: it's going to be a completely different conquest."
I've said it before: if this isn't stopped, then Americans will commit entirely new, original chapters to the history of tyranny.

Just in the first panel:
Functional ability with equations is not an "assumption". It's the *conclusion* -- the product -- of proper education in the subject. That epistemic certainty is what must be destroyed by the communists, precisely because of its implications for morals.
Occasionally I’ll hear a word aloud for the first time, having read it a hundred times in my life and pronouncing it wrong in my head all the while. Today it was “viscount”.

It's *amazing* that these people try to get away with this sort of thing in an information age when anyone can rub their noses in it within seconds.
All three volumes of Solzhenitsyn's "Gulag Archipelago" are available in PDF at the Internet Archive, and everyone should read the whole thing as soon as practicable.
No literary work did more to bring about the collapse of the Soviet Union than
The Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.
So why is it that most American students have never heard of it?

If this light goes out, it could be a thousand years before it's ever seen again.

Again, there is no where else to defect to. The USA is the last holdout. We need to stop communism here and reverse its subversion of our institutions. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

It is "to rest," except to you. You would rather believe the appearance of something that you know is manifestly impossible and demand "proof" of the obvious fraud, than simply grasp and understand what everyone saw that day.
You're a hell of a case.

I thoroughly, explicitly, and emphatically approve this message, down to the last kick and baton-strike. If the police must exist and I'm forced to pay for them, then they can do their bloody jobs at making the communist vermin *run*.

I see an entire generation of special Americans now being strained through a machine that was powered-up before they were born and has never stopped churning the intellectual habits of forebears. Mainly, they are good people, earnest at heart in the cause of freedom.

This is profoundly correct. We live in an age in which Plato's assertion that human minds cannot directly grasp reality is dominant. People now talk about "their reality" as if reality wouldn't exist without them. It's a rationale for doing whatever they feel like on a whim.
In some ways what we are seeing is a struggle between Aristotle and Plato, historically the West was dominated by the ideas of Aristotle, but now the ideas of Plato dominate Western institutions, including the Corporations, and are being spread by NGOs around the world.
