We have baby beavers! Our pair of beavers, translocated to Knepp from Scotland last year, have two kits! This makes them the first beavers to breed in Sussex in around 500 years. This is a big landmark for

! This magnificent migrant moth is one of our largest species - and can travel here from as far as Northern Africa. They are named after the Convolvulus (or bindweed) plant family, which their caterpillars feed on.

Here’s a rare glimpse of a beaver out and about in daylight. Beavers are nocturnal though they can be active at dawn and dusk. Our camera caught this one out grazing late afternoon. Beavers are herbivores, eating aquatic plants, bark, leaves, twigs and grass - but not fish!
