@Chapter49016801 @Dalew17911 @elonmusk note that in terms of *land ownership* there wasn't a dramatic difference. All the "white stuff" you see is just state land, it didn't "belong" to anyone in particular : it was controlled by the British and before that by the ottoman empire and before that by other empires.
