@PicturesFoIder A video with the low-quality audio that X offers is not actually going to play those higher frequencies, and a lot of people's speakers can't do it either.

@JoshEakle The one on the left has to do with gender and sexuality, the one on the right has to do with patriotism. It is only lately that I've gotten to understand why patriotism is important if we're to have a country at all.

@VaushV @michaeljknowles @thedailybeast He apparently wants the government to have massive authoritarian control over the way that people present themselves in public. He wants it to be illegal to present as the opposite gender from your biological sex. Extremely draconian. How could this even be implemented?.

@iamyesyouareno So you don't want it to be accurate? LOL What bothers me about the documentary is that hairstyles and makeup come to today's standards. Alexander has bleached hair. Some characters even have a perfect fade--how could that be achieved back then?.

@elonmusk @againstgrmrs I'm not certain people are born gay, and I'm a gay man. It has not been proven. It could be a number of things during someone's early years, mental reflexes to certain stimuli or a lack of important stimuli.

@Pampadalampa @WallStreetSilv In 1991, (in the United States anyway) you could find a ten year old car, with not that much wrong with it, for $600. Currently, you'd be lucky to find a 15 year old car for less than $4,000 unless there were a ton of things wrong with it. Shaming people for being poor is foul.

@aguybeinaguy He's emotionally charged by his religion, making him honestly believe that any criticism of the government of Israel is automatically antisemitic.

@itsmorganariel Why? Because your religion doesn't like it? I thought people like you were all about freedom and liberty and small government. Now you want punishment for acts between consenting adults?.

@Kahlissee I honestly don't understand their decision. It's not like a hijab is a performance enhancer. This just seems like discrimination.

@JimSterling I find it interesting that the people who want men to examine toxic masculinity are often the ones who promote toxic masculinity (particularly stoicism) by making fun of men who express that they're emotionally hurt by something.

@EndWokeness Somewhere between 2001 and 2003. We had a jump with smartphones in 2007, but within a few years it turned into the toxic culture/social bubbles from social media that we're so familiar with.

@CarmineSabia @EdKrassen Except that they're not. It's a false talking point some Christians like to bring up a lot, as if saying it makes it true.

@Halalcoholism The camera guy turned off his motorized gimbal to make it look like something got broken. No, the store owner shouldn't have touched it, but that's just silly.

@LibyaLiberty I've said a couple times here on X that Israel is in the wrong geographic region. If it was surrounded by other western countries, there wouldn't be much of an issue. The clashes of cultures are real, and I don't know if the relationships are salvageable.

@MattWalshBlog I don't think anyone's saying it's "anti-woke", it just doesn't happen to push woke messaging.

@MasteroftheTDS Hot take: Superhero movies will never be even remotely as good as they were before the industry was totally oversaturated with them. Superhero fatigue is real.

@Culture_Crit For instance, this piece doesn't look too bad (still not great though) if it's hue-shifted like I've done here.

@stuartprovan @elonmusk @getpaidwrite "Woke" is a dogmatic scholarly-based ideological framework used to dismantle the prevailing social systems in society, where anyone who doesn't participate is something that ends in ist or phobic.

@EndWokeness The problem is not a lack of religion, the problem is a lack of common values. Also, people can be religious without being spiritual, and that really sucks. At the same time, we don't want fascism (in the form of religious nationalism) to step in to "correct" or "fix" society.

@sleepy_devo Violent crime may be on a downward trend, but those statistics don't make me feel any safer when there are so many drugged out homeless encampments all over the place, and many businesses are locking up their products because of theft.

@Rouge38815660 @JoshEakle The one on the left has to do with labeling people something that ends in ist or phobic if they don't explicitly agree with a list of things, and the one on the right has gotten rid of slavery, genocide, and colonization over the years and continues to improve.

@Aku_700 @PicturesFoIder There could be a biological argument to be made, a tiny one, but most of it is cultural. Some cultures just suck, there's no getting around it, particularly the ones that encourage having no impulse control, and perpetually feeling disrespected (while offering no respect).

@TPostMillennial The copyright thing only works if it can be heard--just the treble from the music isn't going to cut it. Having said that, I've always found it to be borderline harassment to follow people around asking them questions like this.

@FoodPornPhotos That barely looks seared on the outside. It's basically uncooked. I like my steaks medium-rare, but hamburgers need to be at least medium to medium well for me to feel safe about them.

@RealCandaceO Even in the 90s, it was still common for gay men to become annoyingly flamboyant after they came out of the closet. I resisted that peer pressure for the most part. I think it happens when people make it their entire identity, paired with a negative view of straight culture.

@iamyesyouareno If she was talking about all black music in the history of recorded music, that would be quite awful to lose, especially the 70s and the 80s. But the crap made in the past decade? I'd be happy not to hear it.

@kylenabecker Some of those expressions and emotional attitudes didn't seem to line up with what the captions were saying. How do we know someone didn't just put fake captions on this? I'm not saying this is fake, but I am saying it's questionable.
