Disappointing to see Nicholls getting some stick for not running Cyrname in the Celebration Chase. The ground isn’t suitable and he will not risk the horse on it. If you think a horse should run at all costs, even to the detriment of said horse, then that’s just wrong.
@RepublicStaff
Your campaign is out of sync with the general mood of the population. She has done, and contributed, far more for this country then most people.
The experience of a lifetime. I’m so privileged and thrilled to have been in a line-up of extraordinary women. A huge well done to Khadijah on winning - you are a total star and role model.

It’s always heartbreaking to lose any horse to colic but the loss of Roaring Lion is still keenly felt in the racing world. One year on from his QEII triumph, I really hope his sole crop does him proud

An enjoyable day at Ascot, but it was really very unpleasant to stand next to a group cheering when a horse fell.
I hope these individuals can learn to respect the animals and humans putting everything on the line to entertain them. Anyway, here’s a photo of Shishkin…
Delighted to announce I’ll be joining the
@rpbloodstock
team this month. I’ve had a wonderful two and a half years on the racing desk and I’m excited to begin the next chapter of my career. Many thanks to everyone who has helped me along the way.
Surely the beauty of racing is that we can enjoy both jumps and the Flat? I can't see the point of slating either code - it's great to have both.

It’s hard to overstate what a magnificent family Kirsten Rausing and Sir Mark Prescott have nurtured over so many years. Alpinista is out of the Listed-winning Hernando mare Alwilda, herself a daughter of German champion Albanova and niece of dual Champion Stakes winner Alborada.
It’s dispiriting that once again racing is all but overlooked in

. Frankie Dettori has had a marvellous year and yet will likely get two seconds on the screen. As the second most popular sport in the country, where has it gone wrong?
Completely thrilled to say I'll now be working at the Racing Post as a trainee journalist - I can't thank my colleagues, family and friends enough. I'm a truly lucky girl and what a fantastic start to the weekend! 😄
Defi Du Seuil was very good there, he’s got a great turn of foot, but a word has got to give to Simply Ned. Rising 13 and still clearly loves the game. What a horse he’s been for connections and the game.
Over the moon to say I passed the Magnolia Cup fitness test! All roads lead to
@Goodwood_Races
in August. Now for the matter of a photoshoot and afternoon tea 💪🐎💃
Matt Chapman's comment re Buveur D'Air is just so unnecessary. He's a dual Champion Hurdle winner who has won multiple Grade 1s. So glad to see Faugheen is ok.
💕 There is no doubting this foal’s sire at

Frankel, the sire of nine individual Group 1 winners this year including Arc winner Alpinista, Irish Derby hero Westover, Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Homeless Songs, Dewhurst victor Chaldean and Coronation/Prix Jacques le Marois scorer Inspiral.
Sad to hear of Dansili’s death this morning. A wonderful horse, he has left a remarkable legacy as a sire and broodmare sire through the likes of Bated Breath, Flintshire, Expert Eye and Time Test.
This was taken from last year’s
#DublinRacingFestival
and is how I’ll remember the gallant Special Tiara. He loved his job and always went about with such enthusiasm - a proper stalwart of the National Hunt scene. My thoughts with connections, a truly sad day.

Not really sure what booing a winner is going to achieve - they are two horses who’ve tried their very best and have covered themselves in glory to boot. Hoping Tiger Roll has the most wonderful retirement.

❤️ We had to say goodbye to Ayrton last week at the grand old age of 28. He was the kindest and most genuine horse with the biggest heart, who we all adored and will miss hugely.
And - just like that - foaling season is nearly here. Whose foals are you all looking forward to seeing?

Frankie in tears, what a special occasion. We owe a huge amount to Prince Khalid Abdullah for keeping both Frankel and Enable in training as older horses. Frankel, for me, is the greatest I’ve seen but Enable is incredible in her own right and we should celebrate both.

It’s been four years since I joined the Racing Post as an intern - time flies when you’re having fun! I’m very lucky to have a job I absolutely love and to have had the support from all concerned at HQ. Here’s to the next four years. 👩🏼💻🏇✍️

Dalham Hall - the European champion and first-season sire is responsible for seven winners to date including unbeaten stakes scorer Dance In The Grass. Many thanks to Sam and the team for their time.
Inspiral, Homeless Songs and now Nashwa - three superstar fillies this year for Frankel. Nashwa is yet another Group 1 winner from the Frankel - Pivotal nick as she’s out of stakes winner and Prix Jean Romanet second Princess Loulou.

about the team’s famous new recruit plus the likes of Time Test, Lope Y Fernandez and Rajasinghe.
It’s faintly ridiculous when you remember Cue Card, Al Ferof and Menorah are in behind and struggling to lay a glove. The best-ever running of the Arkle?
“The trickle of jumps mares entering Nathaniel’s book turned into a torrent in 2021. They accounted for 77 of his 136 mares.”
The fact a sire like Nathaniel can be disregarded by commercial Flat breeders is depressing - the obsession with cheap speed is detrimental to the breed.
🗣️ "At least some owners of high-class Flat broodmares who appreciate Classic breeding and are unconcerned by the whims of fashion kept the faith."
So, just how dual-purpose have Nathaniel's recent books been?
Good Morning Bloodstock 👉
⚡️ I’ve got a soft spot for Lightning Spear, a really tough and talented performer on the track. And he even has his sire’s magnificent forelock!
He has his first runners this year and looked in fine fettle yesterday

It’s a crying shame that a Prince of Wales’s winner hasn’t been given a chance as a Flat sire. He’s got a beautiful pedigree and won a Gr1 over 1m2f. Baffling...
A first Group 1 winner for Havana Grey and a first for Simon and Ed Crisford - Vandeek takes top honours in the Sumbe Prix Morny.
