The world is full of data; Big data, small data, and everything in between. But not all data is created equal. Some data, like global trends, is massive and handled by powerful algorithms. Other data, like a sensor’s real-time reading of room temperature or the state of a digital asset in a game, is small but just as crucial. This is smalldata, tiny pieces of information that are specific, context-rich, and often critical for real-time decisions. Handling smalldata becomes especially tricky when it moves between different systems that don’t naturally work well together. For instance, imagine an IoT sensor sending real-time updates to a blockchain or a game character that evolves based on in-game performance. These systems often "speak different languages," making the smooth exchange of small, critical data a significant challenge. That’s where Unster, framework described in patent US9069626B2, steps in. Unster provides a way to manage smalldata efficiently, securely, and at scale. Paired with Dynamic Executable NFTs (dxNFTs), programmable digital assets that evolve based on real-world inputs, Unster transforms how these small yet important data pieces flow between systems. 🧵1/10
