I know the political climate right now makes it seem like conservatism is having a resurgence, but I can assure you this is not the case at schools. Progressive ideology is hegemonic in the educational sphere. From comments in the lounge, to policy discussions and decisions, to even the most prominent public-facing conservative teachers facing censorship (yes, it’s happening), there is still a very clear message to conservative teachers “agree with us or shut up, otherwise face punishment.”
