Here's what seven years of planned burns and mechanical works looks like 2020-2027. You want to hope that it's doing the right thing at this kind of scale? #FFMV @alliance_forest

FFMV wants to burn 13,000 hectares of Glossy Black Cockatoo habitat over the next 3 years. This would be a catastrophic event for this species already on the brink. 🔥🐦‍⬛ Email your reps here to ensure that Glossy habitat remains protected and unburnt: ➡ https://t.co/r31oYevIz8

As the duck slaughter season continues, we see reports of shooters flagrantly breaking the law - as we do every year. That’s why the Greens will keep standing up to save Victoria’s native waterbirds. Sign the petition - ban duck hunting now! https://t.co/tG3Ryf2OxU

Last night, I secretly flew to Brisbane to attend the 2025 Black & Write Fellowship announcement. Which is supposed to be happening right now at SLQ. At this event, I was to be named one of the recipients. Woo hoo. This is a huge career milestone!! However.... 1/

An excellent one minute explainer of the effect planned burns have on the forest. With visual evidence. So, already more credible than whatever @DEECA_Vic have to say on the topic.

Hi! It would be great if you could spare a minute to sign this petition. Forest Fire Management seem to be hellbent this autumn on destroying all the places we love. The petition itself offers a good explainer of why we oppose these burns. https://t.co/BefCYIdx8E

When are we going to take the risk of Feral Deer in Victoria seriously? @Steve_Dimo @BradRowswell? Victoria is the only mainland state to still protect Feral deer 🦌 they smash our National Parks, agricultural country and human safety. We need to declare them as a pest #feral

@KinglakeForest So true. Choking in smoke in the east of Melbourne this morning. This is just insane. They seem to be going all out burning off this year with out giving a damn about peoples health.

It's the burning season for Forest Fire Management, if you're wondering about the haze in the eastern suburbs. Planned burns are an ineffective and often counterproductive way to reduce fire risk, as the science shows But it does tick the 'looks like we're doing something' box

Last night a feral deer 🦌 hit my partners car, today I dodged one at 5pm in the afternoon. Time to list them as a pest and protect our wild place, agricultural country and public safety #FeralDeer #springst @Steve_Dimo

@Steve_Dimo @JacintaAllanMP Is the delay in legislating Victoria’s promised national parks linked to ongoing salvage operations? @FFMVic_Chief @FFMVic – much of this work is disturbing already-decomposed vegetation, creating new fine fuels. Can we have clarity on the intent here?

Why are @FFMVic taking trees? @WForestcare’s Gayle Osborne, said @DEECA_Vic acknowledged that fine fuels – not large fallen logs – drove bushfire behaviour. “Yet DEECA’s storm recovery operations continue to remove these ecologically important logs”. https://t.co/NX9mkUzcco
