@XenPenny is the best hitting coach in the game! Super cool to see the progress I’ve made with him and I know there’s more to come.
6 months of work to trim the fat off a swing. Speed in short windows of time compared to a long drive competition swing that isn't producing force in short windows of time. When applying force this way, it takes a long time to get up to speed.

One of my favorite ways to teach stopping the hips is by giving the destination cue of stepping over after the swing. In order for this to happen after the swing, the body has to stop; if not, the hips keep going, resulting in a spin to the pullside.

Great session with @XenPenny, starting to make big strides with my swing.
For hitters overswinging that have been selling out for power and bat speed, try rapid toss. When tossing multiple balls in a row, the hitter can't keep turning; they have to get ready for the next one, not allowing them to keep turning off the ball.
