As schools resume their studies for the first term, earlier today, the Bushenyi subregion ONC team, led by Kansiime Peace, along with Abemigisha Bob, the coordinator for Mitooma District, and Muhumuza Michael, the coordinator for Sheema, visited UPE schools: Igambiro Primary School and Kirembe Primary School, both located in Katenga Sub-county, Mitooma District. In their findings, the team discovered that some schools continue to levy fees on parents despite the President's directive halting all fees in government schools. Upon discussing the matter with the teachers, it was acknowledged that fees are still charged because the UPE funds received by the schools are insufficient to cover all their needs. #M7OncAtWork
