Day 2 running 100K in February for Great Romans Street Hospital. I was as stiff as a board from yesterday and it was serious effort in that wind but I got it done 🏃♂️

school closures for some mean fun! For others no free school dinner?, or the breakfast club? are they warm? Do they have an adult at home? now going on to the weekend it will be 5 days without touching base.
I really hope every kid is safe and warm but I know they are not :(

Many of you know my older brother Kenny passed away suddenly last year but with most rains comes a rainbow and today me and Cameron met my lovely neice for the first time and her mum, an uncle finds a neice and Cameron finds a cousin, Kenny will be so happy to see 😇❤️

my boy will be 6 on sunday! how’d that happen? i’ve felt like a really rubbish parent at times. health and personal problems & we still don’t have a home feel like i’m failing. the goal is to provide right? then he hugs me with that smile and i know it’s love that matters ❤️

My wee soldier is 5 years old tomorrow! Where has the time gone. He is undoubted the light of my life and the ultimate motivation for me to keep going and try my best which is all any parent can do! I love him so much!!!!!!!

Finally after years of me and Cameron being flung from pillar to post, being treated like a number, a place in a queue, another case, hostels to temp flats to temp flats. My permanent house is close to being ready and within the month I could have keys 🔑.

2 major surgeries on my spine don’t know if I’ll ever be 100% again got out this afternoon and I’m feeling tears of joy too see my boy. dark times in that hospital ❤️ didn’t want him seeing me in a state mangled up. But I can’t even explain to you the feeling in this hug 🤧❤️❤️

it’s been a tough week losing my brother, the funeral is now set and I had to dissapear for a few days. But I’d like to let you all know I’m healthy and getting stronger by the day! I’ll reply to all emails before the end of the week, I appreciate all the support and love ❤️

I went to see my brother today and say a personal goodbye, some might call this rainbow that appeared afterwards a coincidence but for me it was a sign of hope at the end of what seemed like a hopeless day.

Me and Cameron have a move in date of our HOME for the 13th of February!!! 🔑 🏠 there was a brief scare that 13th was a Friday but it’s a Thursday thank god😅.... fresh start to the year. Just need to make it another month where we are and source everything we need 🤞🤞🤞

my son cameron❤️🌈 so much progress over the years, was non verbal at one stage. he’s missed loads of school in his important first year but he embraces the way he sees the world I live for these moments. melts everyones hearts, anyone who’s met him knows! he makes me so proud.

My heart goes out to all the care leavers in their own tenancys living alone who are suffering from winter bugs and the flu.... I know it sounds trivial but for me it was one of the most horrendous experiences. 16, alone, nobody to call, nobody to visit nobody to come and hug you

10 DAYS TO GO 🏠 we get keys to our first permanent home since me and Cameron became homeless 1035 days.. sofas, hostels, temp flats, virtually no communication or support from housing, 👀 housing officer max 3 times! Most times with bad news 😆 edin housing crisis? Surely no 🤪

Cameron Not well his breathing and a chest infection but tonight the staff at Edinburgh’s royal hospital for sick children really perked him up; attentive, friendly and humorous. staff tonight deserve credit. New hosp will really help them do their job! btw He’s on the mend ❤️

It’s only Tuesday and I’m booked in for major spinal surgery this morning things have went from zero to a 100 real quick a rare syndrome , but U the thing that hurts most is disruption to Cameron’s life :( he’s safe and sound and hopefully I’ll be home with my boy soon ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

wide awake, my spine is sore but within 1 day I’ve been up walking, made pals and never been left for hours without someone popping in to check on me, all nhs staff are doing best with what they’ve go, the neurology department at the western general are on another level though ❤️

October Break here in Edinburgh, keep in mind what might be a nice break for some pupils will be a time that can break others. I used to dread the holidays as much as on the face of it didn’t like school, at least it was safe. Next week be mindful show love and understanding ❤️

thanks for everyone’s supportive messages cameron’s much better this morning. is aloud some breakfast he let me test his levels and give him his injections with no real fuss, lots to take in over the next wee while for us both but if anything our wee family are good at adapting.
