i'm looking to hire what I call "crackhead engineers". frontend, backend, fullstack... here's what I'm looking for: - you are at the phase where your work is your life and vice versa, hence the concept of work-life balance is pretty foreign to you. - you are obsessed with shipping. not just building... actually shipping. your joy comes from seeing the impact your work makes when people use it. - sprints and cycles are for the weak. you ship things in days, nights and weekends. no need for drawn out BS. you’re not here to fiddle with frameworks or debate architecture for weeks. - you don’t need a roadmap. you are the roadmap. you move at the speed of crackhead energy, and you don’t stop until it’s done. - you believe that no problem whatsoever is above you. you can sit with it and iterate on it non stop on till you crack it. - you love the money, but it's beyond that. you see your work as a legacy that lives beyond you and you care about making it a fucking great one. - when you unavoidably ship nonsense, you take it very personally as though "you have failed this city". ship a fix immediately/seek needed help. - you want to be held to higher standards than what is generally attainable around you and you do the same in return. - you thrive in chaos. this is not a job, it's a calling to come have fun being as weird as you already are. a lot of people will see these as seemingly contrarian or contradictory, but the crackhead engineer knows exactly what I mean. if this is you, i want to work with you. shoot me a dm, let's get cracking. if this sounds toxic to you... you're right, it is. it's not a life for everyone.
