Al-Imām ibn al-Qayyim said:
Knowledge is not acquired unless one renounces pleasures and abandons comfort.

Contentment is a treasure and a significant reason for a peace of mind and tranquility of the heart.
Al-Imām Muslim (d. 261 AH) narrated in his Sahīh that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:
“Successful is the one who embraces Islām,
[القَناعةُ بِما آتاكَ الله]
القَناعةُ كنزٌ،وسَببٌ عظيمٌ مِن أسْبابِ انشراحِ الصّدر؛فقد روى مُسلمٌ في الصّحيح أنّ رسولَ الله ﷺقال(قَدْ أفلَحَ مَن أسلَمَ،ورُزِقَ كَفَافاً،وقَنّعَهُ اللهُ بمَا آتَاهُ)

With regard to ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb (Allāh be pleased with him), it was reported that he preferred making up missed fasts of Ramadān during the first ten days of Dhū al-Hijjah.
He said:
"There are no days more beloved to me for making up missed Ramadān fasts than these (i.e.
