@iagreegocavs your team can’t even beat my sorry ass team, and that’s gold coming from a cavs fan. That team has been in purgatory every year of it’s existence other than when they had LeBron

@iagreegocavs lmao i don’t even know you? I was responding back to the Cavs fan talking shit about Niang. Clearly a lot of people in that fanbase are emotional about it

@dillonb0711 @goat197 And Dre is a very coachable player, which has also helped him — us finally having a good coach in Quin Snyder also lines up with his career jump. Guys like Lloyd Pierce and Nate McMillan were just system coaches who didn’t adjust to the players they had

@dillonb0711 @goat197 He should but all I’m saying is he’s not nearly as good as y’all are making him out to be

@dillonb0711 @goat197 Cam would be perfect on so many teams, I’m honestly shocked OKC didn’t go after him with all the draft capital they have to offer

@dillonb0711 @goat197 He might, but I do think he will be better with a guard like Ty Jerome on the court and not just because of their great chemistry but because he’s the exact type of player that helps elevate Dre’s offensive game

@dillonb0711 @goat197 Wouldn’t that also counter what’s helped him improve offensively tho? His game is better when his usage is better. One of his best abilities is his midrange game and that typically opens up his 3point game as the defense has to respect the chance of him cutting towards the basket

@dillonb0711 @goat197 He’s also been playing with one of the best playmakers in the game, making that part of his game really easy setting him up with great shots

@dillonb0711 @goat197 Donovan Mitchell was a great defender for the Jazz? Garland and LeVert tho, sure, especially LeVert he made a big jump defensively. And dre certainly could too, but outside of a few moments he’s always just been an average defender

@dillonb0711 @goat197 There is a reason why the Hawks couldn’t even get a second-round pick for Dre when they tried to trade him over the offseason. Nobody wanted him because of his awful contract and lack of production

@dillonb0711 @goat197 Because I knew the Hawks weren’t going to get what they could’ve gotten for him at his peak value. Hence the story that came out where the Cavs turned down the first three things the Hawks wanted. Our GM is like a child, he gets pushed over by every GM in the league

@goat197 @dillonb0711 He was the Hawks No. 1 option in his role off the bench. I’m pretty sure the Cavs are planning to start him, where he’ll be behind Spida and Garland

@goat197 @dillonb0711 He can’t dribble, doesn’t get rebounds, doesn’t pass, isn’t active on defense/never gets deflections, steals or blocks. But he’s a great shooter. Enjoy those games where his shot isn’t falling

@Melog25 @Projectnba1 @rhas202 See this is how I know you don’t watch the Hawks. Trae puts in more effort on defense than Dre ever has, almost on a nightly basis. And it’s not even remotely close, tbh

I’ve seen Cavs fans acting like they just got some defensive savant, which is nothing close to what Dre has been. He does have his moments, like whenever he guards players like Luka. He thrives defending players who play at a slower pace. Which maybe that’s something your coaches can use to help make that translate against faster players. The faster players have been what has caused him issues
