A largely unremarked story of the summer is the importance of Scotland succeeding in avoiding strike action in our NHS. It really matters to service delivery and people's lives.
Trusts are doing everything they can to minimise disruption for patients as junior doctors go on strike again.
But we are at a tipping point.
Strikes are estimated to have cost the NHS £1bn so far and we could soon see 1mn patient appts delayed.
